Zakho University professors supervise international festivals.

On (20/11/2025) the 28th International Galavezh Festival was launched in the city of Sulaimani, with the participation of local and international writers. Many important and contemporary topics were discussed throughout the two-day event.

 

From the Bahdinan region, several writers, intellectuals, and poets participated with their works and writings such as poetry, stories, and research. Esteemed lecturers from Zakho University, Dler Kamal Ahmad and Jehat Qader Hasan, from the Department of Kurdish Language, attended the festival as members of the evaluation committee for the literary works from the Bahdinan area.

 

The Galavezh Festival is an annual international cultural festival held in the city of Sulaimani, attended by numerous intellectuals and researchers.
